Mississippi Kids Could be Eligible for CHIP

Every state has a Medicaid program. Each will have at least one portion of their Medicaid program that is designed to cover children who come from low-income families. In Mississippi, there is a CHIP, a Cool Kids program, and an Early Intervention program. Medicaid is a public, or government run, health insurance program. It is designed to cover individuals and families who are low-income and who cannot afford to buy a health insurance plan from a private insurance company.
